The best part of the school year…

is here!  We are in our last 5 weeks of school.  Yesterday, we had a track meet!  Today, the kids are SORE!!!  Many are sun burnt.  But, I think everyone enjoyed themselves!  I was able to go for awhile and I enjoyed what I got to see.  It is really fun to watch the kids participate in all of the events.  It is REALLY fun to see the different speeds that the children can run!  It is really great to see some of them even Surprise themselves!!!

During the last 2 months of school we have Fabulous Fridays!  We do fun things like have Bubble Gum Day, Sunglasses Day, Crazy Hat Day, Crazy Hair Day, best of all FLIP FLOP DAY!!!!!  Boy, do we like that day, we like it so much that I think this year we will have it twice!!!!

We will have two graduating this year and we are planning a day trip for their senior trip.  I told them that we could skip school one day and just go!  What fun!  All school year they have had a snack bar to raise money for their trip.  At the first of the year we only thought that we would have one senior.  She didn’t really want to go anywhere big so the only fund raiser was the snack bar at school.  Then we added the second senior and well, we didn’t really get a lot of money raised.  So, it’s a day trip and then they get to split the left over money!!!  I think that they like that part the best!

We have a few students racing to get one hundred PACE’s done.  They want the award for that which last year we got them a T-shirt that they can wear one day a week.  So, it is nice to see them working so hard to get that goal done!

Well, I guess that’s about it for today.  I think as I read others blogs, wow!  I wish I could write like that!  Maybe, if I practice I will get better.  Lots going on here lately just not sure how to put it down in words.

If you are reading this please pray for my in laws.  How they need strength, grace, comfort and peace!  Thank you in advance.

The Weekend….

is here…feels good!

Spring Break!

is over!!!!!!!!! Well, it has been for days now.  I just have one question.  Where did it go?   I did enjoy the time away from school.  I think that I may have rested enough to make it through the rest of school!  We have 5 and a half weeks left of school!  Now, comes crunch time!! Ha Ha!  We have lots to do and not a lot of time to get it done!  But, as always I’m sure that it will get done!  We are suppose to have two graduating!  Yeah!

During Spring Break our school building got a face lift!  We had a missionary and a pastor come to the school and help some of our men put siding on the building.  It looks so good!  The church is hoping to sell the school property and build a new school building on the Church property.  We are really looking forward to that!  Well, some of us are!!!  Some of our previous students think that we should NEVER move the school because it just wont be the same!!! Well, they will just have to get use to the idea, because we are looking forward to the changes.  It’s funny how kids will go away and think that nothing should change at home yet they are away and everything is changing in their lives!  Change… it’s just part of life!

I’d sure like to thank the men that worked on our school building and the ladies that helped clean the buildings and fixed lunch for the men that were working!  We really appreciate it!

Spring Break is here for us!!!  Yeah!!!!  I can’t believe it!  Ok, so I can.  What I can’t believe is that is half over!!!

Lindsey’s spring break ended yesterday so she left here and made it safely back to the dorm!

Seeing her room empty of her things is quite sad!  Even though while she was here I often thought out loud why don’t you clean this mess up!! LOL!  I sure miss having my girls living at home!

Our family could surely use your prayers right now.  My father in law has been struggling with Cancer for a while now.  Last week they told him that it would no longer be helpful to use chemotherapy.  So, the cancer treatment center will no longer be seeing him.  Hospice nurses will now take over his treatment.   Even though we knew this time was coming it doesn’t ever make it easy.  Please pray for Strength and Grace for my mother in law.  Please pray that the rest of us will really know how to and where to help.  The best news is that he has made sure of where he will go when he dies and he is looking forward to Heaven!

Thanks in advance for your prayers!
